Alerin Barn Wedding | Emily + Mikael
Getting married in Vermont was a dream destination for Emily and Mikael when they made plans for their Alerin Barn wedding. They carefully chose fall as the prime time they wanted all of their out of state guests to experience and their timing couldn’t have been better with peak foliage occurring in the St. Johnsbury Vermont area during their wedding weekend. The Alerin Barn is a tucked away spot full of rustic charm and an authentic Vermont experience. Emily’s creative DIY touches in everything from table settings to carefully chosen headpieces for the bridesmaids created an ethereal vibe. The cloudy day created soft, diffused light and just a hint of crispness in the air made for a perfect fall mood. But the day was ever so much more about the people who were there to celebrate the special couple. During the couple’s first look, we wandered around the farm-like setting and took advantage of the blazing foliage as a backdrop. After being able to spend time together alone, the nuptials were held at the hilltop ceremony site underneath the timber frame arbor. Cocktails were held under the open air pavilion before the reception moved inside to the barn. But the flow of guests moved both indoors and out throughout the evening to take advantage of both indoor dancing and the outdoor bar and bonfire.
